A luxury fox fur jacket that stopped Sloane Square
This is a true story. By Oli Tzari
It was the kind of day that lives forever in a designer’s memory. At least in a memory of a designer that is still starting out.
London was crisp, all grey skies and golden whispers of winter sun. I had just finished personally delivering six bespoke luxury fox fur jackets to one of our VIP heiress clients who lived in one of those mega mansions in Chelsea. These weren’t just any coats. These were legacy garments because honestly? These were Heirloom-worthy furs, tailored to make a woman feel untouchable, in a soft way. Two jackets were made of a dusky colored sable, and two were the Tzarina By Oli best sellers- the most beautiful fox fur jackets ever made. ( I am not hyping them up, it's just a fact. 'The Queen' jacket is not your average fox fur jacket, all bulky and shapeless circa 1985 Aspen, they are made in a way that the fur is weightless and moves like poetry when you walk)
That day I even hired a Bentley and a private chauffeur for the drop-off. If the pieces were born royalty, they deserved to travel like it too. Period.
Once the final velvet hanger was passed to her butler, I stepped out into the fresh Chelsea air wearing one of my fox fur coats. That same iconic 'The Queen' jacket in snowy white.
And then it happened.
By the time I had strolled halfway down Sloane Square, four impeccably dressed Chelsea girls—mid-twenties, Hermès on the wrist, diamonds in ears—stopped me. Not stared. Not glanced. Stopped me. “OMG Where is your coat from!?”
There was a hunger in their voices I knew well. The desire to belong to something rare. They didn’t want to know where I got it. They wanted to own it- there and then.
By the time I got home, two orders had come in.
That’s when I realized something: truly luxurious, timeless fur jackets don’t need marketing. They move in silence—until they stop traffic.
Tzarina By Oli furs are for women who don’t follow trends, because they know that quality always outlasts fashion. Each fox fur coat is sourced from ethical, traceable European farms—not a single piece comes from China or questionable mass production. These are real fur jackets made with responsibility, not just for the planet but for the legacy they carry. Even if you never buy another one, if you get one it lasts...and lasts..and lasts...
I used to produce faux fur. In fact, some of my most viral early jackets were vegan. But one visit to a faux fur factory changed everything. The chemical runoff. The petroleum base. The microplastics leeching into water. I couldn’t be part of a lie. Plastic-based fashion pretending to be ethical—it’s one of the biggest greenwashing scams of our time. That factory smelled like melted Barbie dolls , i felt like if i stayed any longer i would get a lung cancer. Real fur, when responsibly sourced, biodegrades. It returns to the earth.
The Sloane Square story wasn’t about four girls in Chelsea. It was about proof. Proof that beauty and power are recognized instantly, even by strangers.
You’re wearing a crown...not a fake petroleum cover up .
